How to apply?

The process of application for Cyprus visa is mainly offline and is carried out by the certified visa application centres and the embassy. However, there are certain things to consider before going ahead with the application process. • Tourist visa :A tourist visa is issued at the time when the traveller is willing to visit the country for tourism. The tourist visa spans for about 3 months and can be extended as per the requirement.
• Visitor visa : This visa is required when you are looking forward to visiting your family or friends in the country. To obtain this visa, you require an invitation from the person you are visiting in Cyprus. The validity is the same as the tourist visa.
• Multiple entries : This type of visa is issued when the applicant requires multiple entries to Cyprus. The validity is, therefore, more than the single entry type. The multiple entry visa is grants validity for a year allowing stay of 90 days per visit.
• Business visa : When a business person is travelling to Cyprus for carrying out business-related transactions or making business deals, a business visa is needed for the same. The span for the business visa depends on your purpose of visit. It is mainly considered as a type of multiple entry visa.

Documents required

There are different kinds of documents needed for different types. The documents mainly vary depending on the purpose of the visit. The list of common documents for Cyprus Visa is given as follows:

• An original passport valid for at least 6 months ahead of the date of travel.
• Visa application form, completely filled and signed
• Coloured photographs as per the photo specifications
• A cover letter with all the required details

Note: If you are willing to keep the original documents with you, you can mail the required originals with their photocopies. The documents must be in English, Greek or Turkish. If they are in any other languages, the documents must be translated from certified translators and attested as well.

Photo specifications

Two copies must be provided

• Photo size: 40 mm x 50 mm.
• Coloured copy must be provided.
• The face must cover about 70-80% of the frame - 32 mm x 36 mm.
• Head should well-centred.
• The background must be white
• Neutral expressions
• Glasses are not permitted.
• Headgears are not allowed except for religious reasons.
• Clothing shouldn’t match the background.

Cyprus visa fees

The visa fee is paid at the time of application. It must be paid in cash and in INR. It is paid for the processing of the documents and the verification of the data. It is also important to note that the Consulate does not accept ₹500 notes.

Cyprus visa status

Since the Cyprus visa is offline, the status of the processing of the visa can be checked by confirming with the visa application centre or by calling the Consulate. You just have to contact the Consulate, make sure you have your visa application number with you as this is required to check the status.
